More about Sofia Flores: Raised in the Beauty Industry. Sofia grew up immersed in the world of hairdressing through her successful salon owner Milagro Maldonado. While studying to be a psychologist, she began to understand how through hair she could merge her two passions. Helping people look their absolute best and counsel them behind the chair. “ I began to witness how impactful my contribution to someone’s image had. I’ll never forget the moment I had the chance to work with a burnt victim. She looked me in the eye and said, thank you for making me beautiful again. In that moment I knew, this is way more than just hair.” Sofia has traveled abroad to Europe, Puerto Rico, and all across America to share her expertise in the thinning category. Her commencement in February 2011 for Wella Corporation has paved the way to craft hair at National shows such as ISSE Midwest, ISSE Long Beach, and Premiere Orlando. “ My goal is to give back, empowering the next generation of stylists to be successful wherever they chose to be.” Sofia’s ability to convey hair concepts is a true delight. She carries a classic yet modern approach to hair. “ I’ve danced ballet my entire life, I envision hair through the same art form relating graceful yet explosive bodily movement to beautiful and unique hair concepts.
